Celebration of life pet photography in Philadelphia offers a way to honor the deep bond between dogs and their humans—especially during end-of-life transitions.
After my sweet boy, Bronx, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at the end of March, I shared that I offer compassionate pet photography to terminally ill dogs and their humans. Heather saw my social media post. She commented how lovely it is for me to offer this service. We chatted back and forth and I learned that her sweet dog, Miss Maggie Moo, is not only a sweet, spunky 18 year old girl, but she also has bladder cancer.

Honoring the Bond Between Heather and Maggie
I knew I needed to meet Heather and Maggie. We agreed on a park in Philadelphia to document their love and Maggie’s 18th birthday in a complimentary pet photo session.
The day was a perfect spring day. We met at the Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park. I spotted a gorgeous, white Dogwood tree to shade us and it was the perfect backdrop for the session.
Maggie was the best girl during the session, wearing the cutest party hat and indulging a little in a homemade cake Heather made for her.

A Gentle, Story-Driven Pet Photography Experience
We spent a little over an hour together in the warm sun trading stories about our fur babies and enjoying the moment. After our time together we hugged, Heather handed me a bag full of the most delicious homemade zucchini bread, and I was on my way. Later that evening Heather sent me a text. She told me how wonderful it was to be in the moment with Maggie, for even a little bit, and relive some of their favorite memories together while she shared them with me.
Heather and Maggie, thank you so much for trusting me to document this incredibly special time together. I had so much fun getting to know you both.

If you’re navigating this season with your pet, I offer gentle, story-driven sessions to help you hold onto these moments.
