Meet Lindsay!

Hi, my name is Lindsay, and I specialize in Interior + Architecture and Branding + Lifestyle Photography. I currently live in Northern New Jersey and typically serve the Greater New York City Area.

Let me tell ya, I never thought I’d end up here… and love it so much. I’m from a small town in South Dakota (have you heard of the Corn Palace?!) and have bopped around a lot on the East Coast since 2000. Now I’m living my best cowgirl life in the suburbs of New York City with my sweet little family and my geriatric rescue dogs.

Background and Education

Prior to founding LMT Photography and Design, I received a B.S. in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech. Additionally, I completed courses from New York University (NYU) and Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) in graphic design, web design, design theory and project management.

So you wore a few hats. In what industries do you have experience?

All of my education and experience led me to a career in marketing, design and photography in Virginia, Washington, D.C., New York City and most recently, New Jersey. The industries most significant to my career range from manufacturing companies, political non-profit tech company and a leading trade publication in the optical industry, to name a few.

What is your photography style?

I categorize my photography as Lifestyle Photography. This means I like to help you tell your stories as they unfold with the camera in the background, but I also love to help set up shots that will be memorable, beautiful and timeless. I do provide prompts when necessary, but my main goal is for you to have fun and be yourself as you allow me to document your memories. I believe that all humans should be able to tell their stories, so all are welcome here.

For interior and exterior photos, I shoot in an architectural style, aiming to highlight key features in a space and make those the focal point of the final image. This differs slightly from real estate photos, are those tend to capture a room as a whole with no real focus on any particular area of the space.

Lindsay helped us realize the value of a photo shoot versus having us snap a picture. The family portrait Lindsay created was used for a Christmas card and remains displayed in our home.
