Background and Education

Prior to founding LMT Photography and Design, I received a B.S. in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech. Additionally, I completed courses from New York University (NYU) and Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) in graphic design, web design, design theory and project management.

So you wore a few hats. In what industries do you have experience?

All of my education and experience led me to a career in marketing, design and photography in Virginia, Washington, D.C., New York City and most recently, New Jersey. The industries most significant to my career range from manufacturing companies, political non-profit tech company and a leading trade publication in the optical industry, to name a few.

What is your photography style?

I photograph people and families in a photojournalistic style. This means I like to help you tell your stories as they unfold with the camera in the background capturing your moments. Yes, I do provide prompts when necessary, but my main goal is for you to have fun and be yourself as you allow me to document your memories. I believe that all humans should be able to tell their stories, so all are welcome here.

For interior and exterior photos, I shoot in an architectural style, as opposed to the style you typically see in real estate photos.

Lindsay helped us realize the value of a photo shoot versus having us snap a picture. The family portrait Lindsay created was used for a Christmas card and remains displayed in our home.
