What to Expect on a
Brand Photography Discovery Call

All Disco, No Panic

Let’s get one thing straight: Disco Calls (short for Discovery Calls, and way more fun to say!) shouldn’t feel like a pop quiz. Around here, we do things a little differently. More connection, less confusion. More clarity, less chaos. All disco, no panic.

If the idea of hopping on a call has you sweating like you’re about to walk into an awkward Zoom interview, I totally get it. This post is for you.

Let’s walk through exactly what a discovery call is (and isn’t), what we’ll talk about, and how it helps set the tone for your entire brand photography experience.

So… What Is A Disco Call?

A Disco Call is a casual, 20–30 minute Zoom chat where we get to know each other a bit better. Think of it as the first dance floor moment of our potential working relationship. We’re not committing to the whole night just yet, but we’re seeing if we vibe.

This is not a sales trap. It’s not high pressure. Moreover, it is definitely not a lecture or a pitch deck presentation.

So what is it? A Disco Call is just a conversation. One where I ask a few thoughtful questions, listen closely, and make sure that what you need is something I can deliver well (and with enthusiasm).

What We’ll Discuss

Don’t worry. This isn’t a job interview. The whole point of this call is to learn more about you and your services. I’ll ask questions like:

  • What is your brand all about?
  • Who do you serve?
  • What makes your offer special?
  • Are there other people in your space that you admire?
  • What do you want your audience to feel when they see your brand photos?
  • What isn’t working with your current imagery, or what’s missing?

From there, we discuss what it looks like to work together and I suggest a session package based on your specific needs and goals. During this call we also chat about dates and timelines so we can start penciling things in.

What the Call Feels Like

It feels like catching up with a new friend who gets what you’re building.

I keep things relaxed, supportive, and strategic. I’m not here to convince you to book if it’s not the right fit. I want both of us to feel excited and confident before moving forward. In my experience, the best results happen when we are aligned from the start.

So if you’re nervous about “selling yourself” or unsure if you’re ready, know that the discovery call is simply a starting point. Think of this as a coffee date to explore what’s possible.

TL;DR: You Bring the Vision, I’ll Bring the Clarity.

Whether you have never booked a brand session before or you worked with photographers in the past, this call is your chance to ask questions, get aligned, and see what it’s like for us to work together.

All disco, no panic. Just real talk and good vibes.
